MonteBello B&B Inn Environmental Responsibility:

Having a place in the country has been our dream for years. We did not become conscious of the sense of duty that came with it until we built our beautiful MonteBello. We then realized how important it is to take care, in a natural way, of the land. Land stewardship is now an essential focus of our lives. We are now responsible for keeping the environment healthy, not just for ourselves, but for all the animals and plants that are part of it. In order to do this, we have taken steps to make MonteBello an environmentally friendly place. These steps are listed below:

• Organic cleaning products
• Ozonator - For germ-free, fresh air
• UV lights - In the air return, to clean the air of germs
• Geothermal energy - For energy savings
• Insulated concrete walls - For additional energy savings, comfort and safety
• No use of pesticides or herbicides in the maintenance of our lake
• Air exchanger - Brings in outside air and filters it, so that the inside air is fresh
• Tile floors to prevent the collection of dirt and germs
• Minimizing the use of high maintenance grasses by planting flowers and shrubs
• Ground maintenance devoted to the promotion of wildlife
